 THE SOUL WE KNEW AS BELOVED EDNA BALLARD

 had upon civilization as the Spiritual Revolution began to unfold in the twentieth century. The picture above was 'snapped' just before Mrs. Ballard went out on the stage to conduct a 'Class.' People came from all over the world to attend Her large Classes.

A BIT OF HISTORY

 Guy and Edna Ballard burst upon the 'Spiritual Scene' in the late 1920s and became for the next decades, major players, not only in articulating what was for some, a new Vision of man and God....but also in waging a Spiritual war against the rising tide of communistic and fascist elements, at work not only in other parts of the world (especially Russia and Germany)...but also in America.

In the United States, there were groups of dissatisfied citizens who didn't (and still don't) understand the beauty of the American Constitutional system of governing. That group included people who admired the Hitler and Stalin approach to totalitarianism and some were becoming politically strong at the same time many thousands of people began flocking to the classes of the Ballards.

There were not only political, but financial figures of the 1930s who wanted to use the Ballards and their students to swell the ranks of those who were for abandoning Constitutional Government. It is hard to realize that there could ever be, then or now, people favoring socialism or fascism or theocratic control of government after experiencing the Freedoms offered by the Constitution of the United States of America.

The Ballard's Mission involved awakening the people to the dangers threatening America. They were to teach people about their 'I AM' Presence and Holy Christ Self....and teach them how to pray more powerfully....how to decree....how to invoke the Cosmic Powers and Sacred Fire Activities of God Almighty into action....here is one such decree....

I call to Almighty God....the Great 'I AM' of the Universe

and in the Name of my own Mighty 'I AM' Presence and in the Name of Beloved Jesus, Beloved Saint Germain and all the Ascended Masters and Great Angels, Who are assisting mankind at this time,

 I call forth from the Heart of Creation, all the Sacred Fire

 Activities of God, the Cosmic Christ Love of God, the Light of God

 that Never Fails,

 commanding all those Activities of Light to blaze forth and come in

 and take control of anything that threatens the people or the land or

the God-Government of the United States of America.

What I decree for America, I decree for every Nation and for all

 people. I thank Thee, it is done....'I AM' the fulfillment of

 this my call for more Cosmic Light to come into the world.

I know my Call compels the Answer.

THE 'I AM' ACTIVITY

What came to be called The 'I AM' Activity evolved over a period of time as friends and family with similar Spiritual interests came together at the Ballard's home in Chicago, to study and discuss various philosophical and Spiritual Ideas. It was during those years Guy Ballard became aware of Inner Instruction being given to him and he shared that with those who were interested. And then unexpectedly came the Mt. Shasta adventure with the Master Saint Germain and the book ' Unveiled Mysteries' was published....with borrowed money, I should add.....for the Ballards were people of modest means, like most of us....and the rest is history.

Guy and Edna had a life long love affair with the more Mystical, Metaphysical Spiritual Aspects of Life....she did much writing on the subject ....some of it can be found on the Internet today. He was a Healer...and became sought after for his Spiritual Healing. Over time, many people came to him, attracted by his Gift of Healing.

 In those days, I suspect Guy and Edna Ballard never imagined the Service they were being trained for or would be capable of giving in the ever Evolving Scheme of the Ascended Hierarchy.

Today it is known that certain Ascended Masters had been training the three Ballards at the Inner Level of Mind for many years before that Higher Understanding of Life was revealed to them in the physical sense. And we can assume that one day, their Teachers judged them ready....and they were asked to take those Ascended Concepts of Evolved Life 'further out'....and they agreed to 'go on the road' with the Message if the ways and means to do so were provided.

And again the rest is history.

THE BEGINNING

But just imagine....we can put ourselves in their position....imagine, now, having to figure out how and where to start....first of all, where would the money come from, for as I have said, they were people of modest means....how and where to find places for meetings and then, imagine waiting to see if anyone would respond to the Teaching the Ascended Ones wished to have brought forth on Earth at that time (the 1930s).

Imagine having the kind of Faith to put one's self out there on that limb,  believing that all would be provided....for there were those of humanity whose responsibility it was to assist them in all ways. But would they respond?

The story of their remarkable Service shows incredible bravery as well as Great Faith. I often put myself in their shoes and wonder. And think how relatively easy it has been since for those of us who continue to carry the Message.

AND WHAT IS THE MESSAGE?

This is my Understanding of the Ascended Master Instruction for this Age: It centers around Knowledge of the Immortal Godness of the personal Self, around what metaphysical study would suggest was the Original Concept of Body and Soul....ie., the Divine Partnership of the human being and the individuated Ray of 'Christness' from the Heart of Creation that gives Life to the physical vehicle, with each Ray  containing within It the True Identity of the Soul....and all that then relates to the Divine Connection of each individual Immortal Soul to Universal Godness.

This Ancient Knowledge....Knowledge that has been denied to God's people by religious organizations or political factions for now thousands of years, focuses on teaching the individual to recognize that he or she, body and Soul, is the Focus of God on Earth of his or her own Greater 'I AM' Presence, a High Energy Form of Christness that stands above the physical body.... connected to it by a Ray of Christ Light which, descending into the physical structure carries with it the Three-fold Flame of Cosmic Consciousness of Love, Wisdom and Power, which is then anchored within the human heart. Thus, every man, woman and child has burning in the heart, a small Ray of Light that is the Pure Love, Wisdom and Power of God Almighty. The Sacred Work of the Soul is to expand that Ray of Light using a human vehicle. Thus Universal Godness lives on Earth.

This modern Spiritual approach speaks of listening for the Voice of One's own 'I AM' Presence, which the human being hears as the Voice of his guiding and guarding Christ Self, an Etheric Form that abides just above him.

 The Christ Self teaches the student on the Path to command the Ray of Light in the Heart to expand and Light the Way of the individual....and to ask that the human eyes be opened to the Knowledge of his Soul Partner. The Soul asks for more Knowledge of the Three-fold Spark of Christness that resides within the physical body...and once knowing that the individual, body and Soul turns his whole attention to becoming the Reality of that Christness....finally understanding that 'Who We Really Are' is an immortal Spark of Christness doing the work of God on Earth and that eventually each Ray of Light, the Soul, Ascends back into the State of 'I AM' Cosmic Godness.

This modern Ascended Message teaches the individual how to call one's own Great God Self into action to take command of his or her Life now. It teaches the One on the Path how to infuse Greater Godness into the  Life of the Nations for the Blessing of all mankind. 

The Message stresses that each one has the same opportunity and responsibility to not only look to the Heavens for answers but to seek inside themselves for Cosmic Truth that is Universal....the same Universal Truth that was taught by Beloved Jesus and by other Great Teachers before Him.

And today the Seeker for Truth has a Mission and that is to call forth that same Truth to serve mankind at this time. Great 'Cosmic Truth' is being taught today in many places and in different Ways. It does not belong to any one organized religion but is at home within any philosophy that acknowledges a Supreme Being and the Immortality of the individuated Cosmic Consciousness of Divinity that burns within the Heart of each of mankind.

KEEPING ON, KEEPING ON

In 1939 Guy Ballard 'ascended', and as is often the case, there were people both in and outside the Organization who did not wish to continue the Spiritual Work of the 'I AM' Activity under the Leadership of Edna Ballard....and human hell broke out against her and the Activity. It needs to be noted that She was offered her Ascension at that time....but she choose to stay in order to protect and expand the Information brought forth by the Ascended Hierarchy up to that time. She stayed to lead, encourage and continue to teach those I AM Students who remained loyal to her....but more importantly, remained loyal to Beloved Saint Germain and to Those Great Ones Who had come forth with Him. She said she would stay as long as the Students and the Master Teachers needed her here. She 'ascended' in 1971.  

Today, the world is experiencing similar explosions of virulent feelings  against those who stand up for God. With President Bush as a current example and thinking of the hatred directed against him for his Christian principles during the 2004 election, imagine a similar situation stemming from people who were determined, first, to stop Guy and Edna Ballard at the outset from delivering their Ascended Master Messages and when they didn't succeed at that, later did everything in their power to destroy the credibility of Edna Ballard and the Activity by legal means. The orthodox church world in particular felt threatened by the their Message and refused to help them fight the legal battles. Several the Messengers experienced the threats of bodily harm....and sometimes needed police protection during the large Classes.

And today we call on the 'Law of Forgiveness' for the hateful feelings and actions projected, first against both Guy and Edna Ballard, and then against Beloved Lotus by a few disgruntled 'so-called friends of the Ballards' after Guy Ballard's death. We ask Forgiveness for the treacherous acts of certain people, for going to the government and bringing false charges against her and their son, Donald, claiming violations of Postal Regulations. The U. S. Government then spent many years and much tax payer time and dollars going to great lengths to destroy what remained of Saint Germain's 'I AM' Activity.

Edna Ballard finally won justice for herself and for Don Ballard and for the Activity in the Supreme Court. In doing so she won a battle for all Spiritual Organizations, making it legal for all churches to use the U. S. mails to distribute Spiritual Information. Very few people have any idea what Edna Ballard did for the churches and Spiritual Groups evolving in the land.

All should be very grateful and give her the credit she deserves, acknowledging her for great and courageous Service.

Meanwhile, while all this human consciousness was grinding its way through the courts (the 1940s) Mrs. Ballard was urged by the faithful 'I AM' Student Body to continue Teaching...and assisted by friends and Students, she re-organized the Activity to serve the needs of the moment. She never missed a beat. She kept on, keeping on, as we say. The Hierarchy continued to work with her as They always had.

And some who had been, perhaps, more fascinated with the charismatic Guy Ballard rather than with the Message he brought, turned their backs on the Activity when He passed on. And others did not want to be taught by a woman and used that as an excuse to move on. And others, well perhaps their Spirituality was not strong enough to prevent their drifting away....and finally there were those who took the Message and used it for their own purposes.

Then, in the early 1940s, those remaining Students of Saint Germain's 'I AM' Activity picked up the pieces and continued the Work of the Ascended Masters. And so it has continued to this day. 

And if Beloved Lotus was ever dismayed or discouraged after Guy Ballard passed on, either by the hurtful actions or by the lack of support of friends and students....support she had every right to expect, we who remained and who support her still, we never knew it.
